DESCRIPTION:
Expurgation is a short horror game where you play as a mechanic fixing a giant machine from the inside. Use your multi-tool to get access codes for doors and machinery. However, things may not go as smoothly as planned.
FEATURES:
- 10-15 minutes playthrough
- 5 floors of the great machine
- 7 machines needing maintenance
Controls:
WASD - walking

Tab - opening/closing tool

Very creepy, really enjoyed this. The sound is good, the atmosphere is perfectly oppressive and heavy feeling. The task/job you're doing does get a little repetitive but after two or three times punching in the numbers it starts to feel almost cathartic and weirdly calming.
I LOVED this idea! Great atmosphere and I found myself really enjoying the rhythm of punching in the numbers. Thanks for making it!

(This was a really cool game! Loved the darkness and the utilisation of simplicity to really drive in the scariness and you did a fantastic job with this game. Only wished there was more about the story and everything, enjoyed playing it a lot!)

First time I wasn't actually terrified of mannequins in a horror game, they were all pretty nice XD. The big hand was creepy though, and so was the setting in general. Overall, fun little horror experience, good job dev(s)!

Fantastic industrial themed horror game! Bravo!
From the beginning, I was fully immersed in the environment. The tasks were simple, intuitive and the atmosphere felt legit captivating, not to mention the subtle sound design and visuals - perfection. I didn't have any hiccups, any issues, and considering that this is a game jam project I was even more surprised with the depth, quality and gameplay.
